Have Your Say
November 2, 2005 · Mustapha Hamoui
I know this is very short notice but here goes:
The BBC World Service’s “Have Your Say” program will deal with the Lebanese-Syrian Issue this evening (6:00 GMT). They will be hosting the Syrian Ambassador in the UK.
I was contacted by the BBC and I was told that I’ll get the opportunity to ask the Ambassador one question. Do you have suggestions? Is there a question you think he needs to be asked? Let me know if you can think of something.
If you’re reading this after 6:00 p.m. GMT (universal time), forget about it :)

How did it go?
Thanks for listening to the show and for giving me your feedback.
The Fact is, I was preparing to ask the Ambassador a question; This is why I was taken aback when the anchor hit me with the “what do you think of what the Ambassador said Mustapha?”.
I fumbled a bit and in retrospect, i could have been a bit more confrontational;
Otherwise it’s a great learning experience and quite the unusual way for my fiance to hear my voice from Canada.
But Joshua Landis stole my thunder right after with his “I’m an admirer of yours (the Ambassador)” comment.
Maybe I did well after all.
