The Economist Intelligence Unit shares some intelligence about the future of Lebanon.

let’s say you wanted to know how much Lebanese farmers spent on outdoor advertising from 1999 to 2006, where do you go?
A good bet is the Economist Intelligence Unit, a respectable (and expensive) source of data for a lot of big movers and shakers worldwide.

So when The Economist runs an EIU article on its home page about Lebanon, people are likely to take note.

Unfortunately, it makes a grim reading, here’s the conclusion:

if Syria were to prove its capacity to be useful to the US in Iraq it would come as no surprise to see the strength of Western support for the Siniora government fade.
