Everyone was speculating on what Lahhoud’s next step, the one ‘dictated by his conscience’, would be. Now, the secret is revealed.
According to Alhayat, Lahhoud told “Western sources” that he intends to hand in the Lebanese top position to the Army. He said that he’s doing so because he will not hand in a Maronite position to a Sunni. This could go down well in Bkirki, considering all the talk about a unity government potentially replacing the presidency.
It would be a weird coincidence if the Naher Al Bared fights end in early November, don’t you think?
