Yesterday, the opposition wanted to celebrate 1 year of their occupation of central Beirut by staging a celebration and hoping to attract as much people as possible. As Annahar’s cheeky camera shows, that wasn’t even remotely the case. For reasons ranging from loss of traction to Sleiman’s unexpected candidacy, the turnout was embarrassingly bleak.
