“a Shocking Syrian Attack on Lebanese Institutions”

October 4, 2010 · Mustapha Hamoui

Samir Geagea on the arrest warrants:

This is not the way to reward President Michel Suleiman and Prime Minister Saad Hariri for all their efforts in building ties between Lebanon and Syria. The names that have been summoned draw a picture of a shocking Syrian attack on Lebanese institutions and a number of individuals.

This has nothing to do with rewards and goodwill. Now that the Syrian regime is no longer accused of killing Hariri, it can do whatever it wishes.

We can no longer scoff at those absurd warrants by saying that the Syrian regime is in danger and it would do anything to survive. The Syrians now have the luxury to go back and punish those who originally said it was Syria who killed Hariri
