Lebanon Is A Libertarian’s Dream Come True
October 20, 2010 · Mustapha Hamoui
Jamil Mroue is upset that the Lebanese state is nowhere to be found in Lebanon. He’s happy however that
despite this neglect, the citizens of this country are continually finding ways to provide for themselves. It is an admirable trait of the Lebanese people, and a damning indictment of the politicians, that so many organizations exist to fill the gap where government should be.
To me the question is: Why bother with a bigger state and more public debt if the Lebanese are getting by just fine without them?
