Improving rights for migrants is, in fact, one of the most important goals of our syndicate. We are fully aware of the necessity of this matter and the need for it in our society

Translation: “We have to pretend we’re doing something to get those annoying human right groups, foreign NGOs and journalists off our backs”.

Perhaps I’m being unfair, but if you’re familiar with the kind of people who run these recruitment agencies maybe you’ll understand. They typically terrify foreign domestic workers and the mere threat of being sent back to them to be “disciplined” scares the workers into submission.

Actions speak louder than words.
