More Jews Are Criticizing Israel

Lisa Goldman (yes, the same Israeli blogger who sneaked into Lebanon and took pictures in Gemmayze) writes that the taboo is being broken everywhere:

The Jews I am meeting lately in London, New York and Toronto are changing. Once even liberal Jews would abstain from criticizing Israel; but now, the taboo is being challenged […] In Toronto, friends who attended a recent dinner for the Canadian Friends of Haifa University expressed amazement at the criticism of Israel they heard from some of the speakers — pillars of the establishment, all. Three years ago, they said, it would have been impossible to voice such strong opinions; the risk of damaging social and political opprobrium would have been too great.

Let’s see how long it will take now for the taboo to be broken in American mainstream media and the American congress..
