New Regional High-Speed Internet Cable Bypasses Lebanon

This earned the Lebanese government a big “fuck you” from a frustrated blogger.

These are the forces that I think are conspiring to deprive Lebanon of fast internet:

1- Hezbollah, with their obsession with telecommunication and Israeli spies using voice-over-IP
2- Big media and their political backers who are afraid of the disruptive nature of fast Internet
3- Gridlock politics and the neglect of non essential matters like fast Internet
