President Sleiman Visits Lebanon’s Coptic Church

January 4, 2011 · Mustapha Hamoui

Father Rouysse al-Ourchalimi of the Lebanon Coptic church must be overwhelmed. From an unknown figure only a few days ago to the most sought man in the country as ministers, M.P.s and now the President are lining up to denounce the Alexandria crime from his pulpit.

Here’s what President Sleiman said:

Such crime targets the dialogue between religions that distinguishes our Arab world.

Sounds about right. Dialogue distinguishes the Arab world because the rest of the world has graduated from dialogue to coexistence a long time ago.
