I just received this text message from the Lebanese Embassy here in Accra:
Could it be? Is this for real?
Update: I’ve received word that some people in the UAE, Brazil and Canada are also getting similar messages. Just to be clear, if your embassy didn’t contact you, this doesn’t mean that there are no preparations. In Ghana we have a tight community and a hyper-active young ambassador, and because of problems in neighboring cote-d’ivoire, the embassy has a full database of Lebanese expats with their phone numbers..etc.
