Consider Yourself Severed

So apparently, the Saudis have given M.P Safadi the cold shoulder because he voted for Mikati instead of Hariri for PM. I don’t buy that ,and not just because the source is Al-Akhbar. If Saudi Arabia really wanted to pressure Safadi into not voting for Mikati, it would have done so before the fact (Safadi has many economic interests in Saudi Arabia and it would have been easy to twist his arm). Besides, since Saudi Arabia is in the business of “severing”, why not do it with Mikati himself?
