Illiberal Hezbollah

Naim Qassem is proud of the fact that the party opposes reform to the civil personal status law in Lebanon and the improvement of laws relating to marital rape:

It’s ironic that the leader of Hezbollah is the only person whose picture was missing in demonstrations denouncing sectarian politics and asking for the very reforms that Hezbollah is officially rejecting in parliament..
