Syrian Torturers are Targeting The Genitals [updated]

Yet another account from a journalist who witnessed Syria’s torture methods first hand:

When they told him to take down his pants, I could see his swollen genitals, tied tight with a plastic cable. “I have nothing to tell, but I am neither a traitor and activist. I am just a trader,” said the man, who said he was from Idlib province in the north west of Syria. To my horror, a masked man took a pair of wires from a household power socket and gave him electric shocks to the head.

But all that doesn’t really matter, because Bashar is apparently serious about reform..

Update: You think this is a single isolated incident? Think again. A Thirteen-year-old boy from Deraa was returned to his parents as a dead body full of torture marks and his genitals cut off.. The boy, Hamzeh Ali el Khatib is now a symbol of the Syrian revolution and the face of the brutality of the regime.
