The New York Times Reports From Inside Hama

Hama has emerged in the four-month revolt against Mr. Assad as a turbulent model of what a city in Syria might resemble once four decades of dictatorship end. […] Over these six weeks, Hama has, in a way, emerged as a microcosm of the revolt — what the protesters see as competing visions of liberation and what the government labels chaos.

There’s also a slideshow of people protesting and planning. They see the camera and they’re not even trying to cover their faces.
